Storefronts and street trees bring holiday cheer to downtown Castle Rock, while two-story homes in The Meadows often have multi-gable rooflines that need careful planning. Holiday Lights Denver designs and installs displays for both commercial properties and homes, with each plan scaled to the property. Whether you’re downtown or in Crystal Valley Ranch, call us at (303) 931-7300 and we’ll plan your display with you.
Most of our work is commercial and large-scale, and homes get the same custom build and the same full season behind them. We can handle properties across Castle Rock, from a single home front to a district of storefronts, and we scale the plan to the job.
Residential work is custom, not catalog: a simple, elegant tree display or a full-property design across the roofline, the trees, and the grounds. Scale is something we can bring, not something we require, so whatever your Christmas spirit calls for, we build to it. Homes out in Crystal Valley Ranch and The Meadows are the kind of fronts these displays go on. Choose warm white, single color, multi-color, or RGB, on a timer set to your schedule. Custom trees and rented wreaths, reindeer, and yard décor go up with the same display — see Custom Tree Lighting and Wreath & Holiday Décor Rentals.
Commercial displays are custom work, set to the timer schedule you want, and mapped so we can maintain them through the season and rebuild them the next year. Downtown around Wilcox Square is where Castle Rock keeps its commercial façades and street lighting, and that is squarely the kind of block we light. We can light properties such as downtown and historic districts, with overhead street lighting and the street trees along the block. We also take on large commercial buildings and public spaces. On the restaurant side, we cover quick-service spots and multi-location owners. And we handle HOA and community entrances, property-managed communities, recreation and aquatic facilities, and event centers and venues. We run lift work for elevated installs and use magnetic mounts on suitable metal-framed structures for a fast, clean setup. Owners with several sites can run them all under one plan, and we handle the scheduling and the access with your team.
A few things hold on every display we build.
Historic downtown districts, overhead street lighting, trees pushing fifty feet. We take on the scale most holiday lighting crews pass on. Our owner is on site for every large, technical install. If a property in Castle Rock needs a lift, a crew, and a real plan, that is our kind of job.
Nothing we install comes out of a box. Every display is designed for your property and built on site, in the colors you choose. It is your design, lit for your home or building here in Castle Rock, not a kit off a shelf.
We supply every light on the property, commercial-grade LED in C9, C7, and mini-light tree wraps. It is one uniform system, mapped and inventoried, so the display looks the same on the last night of the season as it did on the first.
Your installation is only the start. We keep the display right through the season and take it down when you say the word. Then we store it for the next nine months, in a space kept climate-controlled and mapped to your property. For most of the year the lights are in our care, not yours.
The people on your roof are our own uniformed, CLIPA-trained technicians, in logoed reflective vests, working safely and on schedule. They are not an unmarked crew someone found last week.
We time installs so the display switches on while we are still there. We want to see it lit from the street, the same way you will.
Here are the display styles we build and the bulbs we use. It is all commercial-grade LED, and every piece on the property is supplied by us.
We roll C9 and C7 strands off the spool on site and trim them to the roofline and eaves. Then we clip and bulb them in place with custom-cut cords. Multi-gable two-story fronts, like the ones across The Meadows, give us more roofline to trace.
We wrap trunks and branches in mini lights for a dense, warm glow. When a tree is tall enough to need one, we bring a lift.
We stake lighting into the ground to edge walks and beds. This is placed and anchored as part of the display.
We hang and light wreaths, set reindeer, and place yard décor as part of the display. Each piece is rented, installed, taken down, and stored along with the lights.
Warm white, single color, multi-color, or RGB, the color is yours to pick, and we set it per display. These are style choices, not add-ons.
From the first photo to the last bin in storage, here is how the work goes.
Send us photos of the property and what you want lit, the roofline, the trees, the wreaths, the grounds, along with your colors and timing. We only need an on-site visit for large or highly technical projects.
We send back a written proposal that lays out the design, the scope, and the price.
Once you approve it, we lock your install date and order and prep the materials for the job. We would rather you be home for the install and the takedown. It is not required, but it keeps cameras, pets, and gate access from turning into surprises.
Our technicians build the display on site and run lifts where the install needs them. The timers are set to the on and off schedule you choose, on at dusk and off at the hour you pick. On Crystal Valley Ranch’s hilltop lots, the steep grades behind many homes complicate ladder and lift setup, so we plan the rear elevations before install day. We time the work into the late afternoon or evening so the lights come on before we pack up.
We walk the finished display with you and settle the final payment at completion.
If something goes out on a display we installed, we’re typically back within 24 to 48 hours — and faster when a large display goes dark. We move quicker when a large display goes dark.
When you are ready for the season to end, we take the display down inside a set weekly window. That way snow or ice never forces an unsafe removal. Need it down on a specific day, before a party or while you are in town? Tell us and we plan around it.
Everything goes into logoed, inventoried bins in our climate-controlled loft. A map of your property goes in beside them, the roofline, the arches, where the cord enters the house. Returning customers get an early install slot the next year, so the season starts with a phone call.
Estimates are free, and most of the time we can build one from photos and a few details about the property. Price runs by the foot and climbs with height and how technical the install is. Here is where it starts.
Every installation starts at a $1,000 minimum. That minimum covers a full-season service, custom design, install, in-season maintenance, takedown, and nine months of climate-controlled storage, not just a crew on a ladder. Our lights stay ours. You are not buying strands, you are leasing a complete display for the season, and we take it down and store it when the season ends. Larger displays may require a deposit before we order materials and lock your install date.
Own several locations? We package them together, and the pricing reflects it. Book your install in September or October, ahead of the rush, and it earns an early-season discount.
We make two commitments on every display, and we put both in plain terms.
We stand behind every display we install, through the season with maintenance, at the end with takedown, and for the next nine months with climate-controlled storage. If something isn’t right, we come back and make it right.
Every install ends with a walk-through and your sign-off. We don’t call it done until you do.
Castle Rock runs on a holiday calendar the whole town knows. The Star atop the Rock lights on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and goes dark at the end of the National Western Stock Show. That window sets the rhythm for the displays we install here, up by mid-November and glowing through late January. When the town gathers to see the lights, it is usually at a few familiar places:
We take holiday lighting projects across Castle Rock, including downtown around Wilcox Square, The Meadows, and Crystal Valley Ranch.
Send us a few photos of the storefront or the house, and we will put together a free estimate from there. Most jobs need no on-site visit at all. Phones are answered from 8am to 8pm, so reach us at (303) 931-7300 to start mapping out the display that fits your property.
