Roofline projects in Thornton vary by neighborhood. North Thornton has many two-story production homes with repeating gable fronts and long, even eaves, while Eastlake and Hunters Glen feature lower ranch and split-level homes. Holiday Lights Denver designs and installs displays for both home styles, as well as commercial properties throughout the area. Whether you’re near the water in Eastlake or close to Trail Winds, call us at (303) 931-7300 to plan your display.
Every display we build goes up on site, and we can take on a wide range of property here. These are the kinds of jobs we do.
At home, the work is custom, not catalog. We light rooflines, wrap trees, hang wreaths, and stake the grounds — simple and tasteful or full, on a two-story up north or a ranch near the lake. Choose warm white, single color, multi-color, or RGB, on a timer set to your schedule. Large custom trees and rented wreaths, reindeer, and yard pieces go up with the same display — see Custom Tree Lighting and Wreath & Holiday Décor Rentals. Timer-controlled patio lighting is available for backyards.
We build commercial displays in the colors you choose, all commercial-grade LED, set to your own timer schedule. We take on a lot of property around Thornton. That runs from downtown and historic districts, where we hang overhead street lighting and light the street trees, to large commercial buildings and public spaces. We also handle restaurants and quick-service locations, including owners running several at once. HOA and community entrances, property-managed communities, recreation and aquatic facilities, and event centers and venues all fit here too. We install from September into November. On suitable structures we mount the strands magnetically for a fast, clean install, and we bring lifts for the elevated work. Every display is mapped, so we can keep it going through the season and rebuild it the same way next year. Scheduling and access we coordinate straight with your property manager.
A few things set our displays apart.
Historic downtown districts, overhead street lighting, trees pushing fifty feet: we design and install at a scale most holiday lighting companies won’t touch. Our owner is on site for every large, technical install. If a property in Thornton needs a lift, a crew, and a real plan, that is our kind of work.
Nothing we hang comes out of a box. Your display is your design and your colors, cut to your exact property in Thornton, not a kit that happens to fit. That is the whole point of building on site.
We supply every light we install, all commercial-grade LED. It is one uniform system, mapped and inventoried, so the display looks the same on the last night of the season as it did on the first.
The crew on your roof is ours: uniformed, CLIPA-trained technicians in logoed reflective vests, working safely and on schedule. Not an unmarked crew somebody found last week.
Whenever we can, we time the install so the display comes on while we are still there. We want to see it lit from the street, the way you will.
Every light we install is commercial-grade LED, and every display is built on site rather than pulled out of a boxed kit. Here are the lights and display types we put up around Thornton.
We run C9 and C7 bulbs along rooflines and eaves. The strands come off the spool on site, get cut to your exact roofline, then clipped and bulbed in place. That fits the long eave lines on north Thornton’s two-story homes and the lower rooflines out in Eastlake and Hunters Glen just the same.
We wrap trunks and branches with mini lights for a dense, warm glow.
Ground-staked lighting runs along the yard edges and across the grounds, tying the display down to the lawn.
Lit wreaths, reindeer, and yard décor go in as part of the display, set where they read best from the street.
You pick the look: warm white, single color, multi-color, or RGB. Whatever you choose, the display runs on a timer set to your schedule, on at dusk and off at the hour you want.
Send us photos of the property and the details. Tell us what you want lit, whether that is the roofline, the trees, wreaths, décor, or the grounds, plus your colors and timing. For most jobs that is all we need. On large or technical projects, we come look in person.
We put together a written proposal that lays out the design, the scope, and the price.
Once you approve it, we set your install date and order and prep the materials. We would rather you be home for the install and the takedown. It is not required, but it keeps cameras, pets, and gate access from turning into surprises.
This is the build. We roll the strands out, cut them to the roofline, and clip and bulb them in place. Then we wrap the trees, stake the grounds, and hang the wreaths, and set the timers to your schedule. Thornton sits out on open ground east of I-25, where wind puts more regular strain on attached lights than snow does, so every bulb is clipped down rather than loosely draped. We aim to have it lit before we pack up.
The last thing we do on site is go over the finished display with you. Final payment is settled then, at completion.
Through the season, we take care of anything that needs it on a display we installed: a bulb, a timer, a section that has gone dark.
Most displays run through Christmas and on to the end of January, and some go longer. When you are ready, we schedule takedowns into a weekly window so weather never forces an unsafe removal. Need a specific day, before a party, or while you are in town? Just tell us and we’ll plan around it.
Then everything goes into logoed, inventoried bins in a climate-controlled space. A map of your property is kept alongside it: the roofline, the arches, where the cord comes into the house. It sits there about nine months. Next season starts with a call and an early install slot, and the display goes back up exactly as it came down.
On the job we are working with commercial-grade LED, custom-cut cords and timers, ground stakes, lifts for the high work, and our logoed storage bins.
Here is how it prices out. Every installation starts at a $1,000 minimum. That minimum covers a full-season service. Custom design, install, in-season maintenance, takedown, and nine months of climate-controlled storage. Not just a crew on a ladder.
The lights stay ours, by the way. You are not buying strands; you are leasing a full display for the season, and we take it down and store it when the season ends. Larger displays may require a deposit before we order materials and lock your install date.
A couple of ways the price can come down: owners with several sites can package them together, and booking early, in September or October, earns an early-season discount.
There is no fine print here, just two things we hold to.
We stand behind every display we install, through the season with maintenance, at the end with takedown, and for the next nine months with climate-controlled storage. If something isn’t right, we come back and make it right. If something goes out on a display we installed, we’re typically back within 24 to 48 hours — and faster when a large display goes dark. We move quicker when a large display goes dark.
Every install ends with a walk-through and your sign-off. We don’t call it done until you do.
Thornton runs from the lake neighborhoods on the east side to the newer subdivisions up north. The season tends to gather around its shared spaces: the civic campus, the rec center, the parks where people turn out. You will find these places at the center of a Thornton December:
We take holiday lighting projects across Thornton, including Eastlake, Hunters Glen, the Riverdale Park neighborhood, and north Thornton around Trail Winds.
Send a few photos or give us a call at (303) 931-7300, and we’ll put a free estimate together. It usually comes from the pictures and a few details, with the proposal back to you in writing. Phones are answered 8am to 8pm. Whether it is a home or a business, we would be glad to get you on the schedule this season.
